Welcome nature and sports lovers! If you're looking for some different ideas on outdoor activities in South Florida, you've come to the right site. I'm Juan Cortina, a native South Floridian with a lifetime of experience in what there is to do outdoors. Mountain biking though, has become my favorite past time, and what has allowed me to explore the other coast in South Florida, The EvergladesThis immense area is not only easily accessible for most of the western suburbs, but also to anyone who can make their way out to a few State & County parks.

There are few places you can see so much wildlife. It's filled from the muck below to the sky above. There's always a good chance you'll see a hunting Osprey, or a Pteradactyl-like Great Blue Heron, maybe a White Tail Deer or Grey Foxes, Otters and of course, the American Alligator just to name a few. Besides the occasional pesky Horse Fly(see my post about them), it's very peaceful and beautiful. It really caters to all sorts of nature photography. My gallery - The View Out Here! will give you a snippett of what you can see out here.

*Since all these photos are taken with my phone, it doesn't take great pictures of wildlife from far, which is really required since they all flee before I can get that great shot! Unless of course it's a turtle, which you can check out here- baby Snapping Turtle

I've provided as many routes/trails/maps, along with advice/suggestions, to give you the best preparation for an unforgettable ride and experience.
